Serious question I've been asking myself for a while and was hoping to get some godly counseling here. in light of scripture, love your neighbor, bless those who curse you, love your enemies...etc, what is you alls position on protecting yourself, ur wife, family, property? And if advocating protection, by what means? Guns, other weapons, dogs, knives? Very serious question for me? Also, how does home burglary differ from religious persecution? Thank u for reading. I appreciate ur time.

Curious video...I've never heard of anyone defending against persecution. I'm not sure if its right to do that, I figured u would count that as a blessing. Again, I'm not sure. That's why I was wanting to know the diff between persecution and burglary. Maybe its opinion? Idk. Thanks darin.

If someone is trying to commit a felony upon and/or kill myself or my family under any circumstances I would shoot them without hesitation. I would challenge anyone to prove to me bibically or legally why I shouldn't. Jesus commanded his disciples to protect themselves. Read Luke 22:36.
Don't understand your second question. Kinda apples and oranges.
PS. I recommend to you a 9mm or .40 compact handgun for protection.

Interesting. It is a mans innate, natural inclination to defend self and family. I guess I shouldn't try to dig too deep with this...is this the flesh? our fallen nature? I personally would do the same Bradley. A little familiar with guns and self defense, but I always wonder is that my flesh? Is that something im suppossed to mortify? Then I try to supress it by thinking I'm taking care of my family, Which I know is right, But see, I really want to be like Jesus. I don't like my flesh. i dont. I aint perfect, lol, thats why its always botherin me. I read the text u posted. I'll keep diggin into that scripture to learn more. I guess its not a huge difference. like I said it would be my natural inclination to do harm to stop harm. Wondering what yall would do...checking myself ya know? Just getting yalls thoughts. Admire ur honesty man. Ty sir, ttyl. Grace n peace.

I would like to talk to u more about it but I can assure you that your urge to protect your family by using deadly force is not evil or sinful. It is a positive application of the 6 th commandment by you preserving innocent life. It's all about your internal motivation.
